Our Preschool is divided into a Lower Preschool (ages ~2–3) and an Upper Preschool (ages ~3–5).
At this stage, we gently prepare children for more structure in their day and help them build confidence and independence, ensuring a smooth transition into big school.
All activities are planned carefully, encouraging learning across all areas while supporting each child at their own individual pace. Our team are highly qualified, enthusiastic, and dedicated to giving children an excellent start in life.

Our chef prepares fresh, home-cooked meals every day, healthy, tasty dishes that children absolutely love! Even our fussy eaters enjoy exploring new flavours.
We introduce a variety of foods from different cultures, including family favourites like fish pie and mild curries.
Food preferences and intolerances are always carefully accommodated.
We also support local producers by sourcing most of our fresh ingredients from local greengrocers.
Some of our children’s favourite recipes are even featured on our nursery blog so families can try them at home.

Funding
30 hours funded childcare
Most working parents may be eligible for up to 30 hours of funded childcare per week for children aged from 9 months through to 4 years old. Eligibility depends on employment status, income levels, your child’s age and where you live.
Funding is normally provided across the 38 week school year. At Culham Village Nursery and Preschool we offer the option to stretch funding across 52 weeks of the year, allowing families to spread their funded hours more evenly.

15 hours funded childcare
All parents are entitled to 15 hours of funded childcare for children aged 3 and 4 years old from the term after their third birthday.
Many working parents may also qualify for Tax-Free Childcare, which can help families save up to £2,000 per year.
